This is a tribute to the '94 and '95 Houston Rockets.

The spirit shown by those two teams was greater than any I had witnessed in sports.
Both years they came into the playoffs as a low seed. Both years they repeatedly
fell behind, yet always found a way, deep in their gut, to pull out a victory.
The other quality that stood out, especially in the current "me first" mentality of the
NBA, was that every player was willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the team.
Clutch players with class!

There was Hakeem, setting up others for open shots. There was Drexler, tirelessly pushing the ball up the floor to give Hakeem a rest. Mario Elie, doing the dirty work, Cassell, coming off the bench without complaint, and of course Kenny Smith, who never complained about being constantly Hakeem pic yanked from games. then there was the genius coaching of Rudy Tomjonovich. Time after time, Rudy T. would lead his embattled team out of the locker room with a plan to turn the game around. When it really counted, it always worked!

More than anything else was the incredible clutch play, that earned Houston the title of "Clutch City" Whether it was Elie's last second 3 pointer from the corner to stave off elimination to Pheonix, or Hakeem OWNING Shaquelle & Robinson down the stretch. Eventhe ancient Charles Johnson ressurrected himself & gave some quality minutes. Someone stepped up when the chips were down every time!
Being a Sonic fan, I crave that!
